Who we are

Department Description

The Finance Department (FIN) fosters long-term financial sustainability through strategic financial management, sustainable and impactful fundraising, and various finance learning opportunities. It also provides institutional support as the primary liaison between MEA and the various offices of Ateneo. By ensuring financial health and fostering key relationships, FIN plays an indispensable role in MEA's ongoing success and future growth.

Project Deployments

Associates are deployed as Finance Heads for various MEA projects, handling the budget crafting, reimbursements, and tracking of revenue and expenses–playing a key role in keeping the projects and MEA financially sustainable.

Mi Amor (Valentine's Fundraiser)

Oct 2025 - February 2026

Mi Amor, a collaboration with MCD, is MEA’s primary fundraiser. Beyond ensuring sustainable financial support, it offers members valuable opportunities to develop skills in project management, pricing strategy, and supplier canvassing.

Fundraising Arm

Mar - Apr 2026

The fundraising arm drives sustainability through impactful and creative initiatives that support MEA’s projects. This year, FIN is set to launch at least two fundraisers and will also participate in COA’s COAllective early next year.
