Formation Identity
FIN fosters well-rounded leaders equipped with strong financial competence. Through hands-on involvement in fundraising, budgeting, and other institutional processes, they will build FIN's core skills and learn to make sound, responsible decisions. Along the way, they will lead initiatives, collaborate across teams, and take ownership as finance core heads and fundraising leads, emerging as capable leaders who drive MEA's sustainable growth.
Who we are
Department Description
The Finance Department (FIN) serves as the backbone of MEA’s initiatives by providing institutional and financial support. Our initiatives, which are rooted in our core values of financial sustainability and associate empowerment, strive for the long-term continuity of MEA. This includes guiding and supporting projects and departments in their financial planning, budgeting, and resource management, while also spearheading fundraising efforts that help bring their initiatives to life. The department also develops visible, purpose-driven financial solutions, strengthens coordination across the organization, and promotes the responsible use of MEA’s resources. Additionally, it is committed to fostering financial awareness among MEAns as an avenue for both personal and career development.

FIN Associates are deployed to projects as Finance Core Heads to lead budget preparation, financial administration, auditing, expense monitoring, and fundraising-related needs throughout the project cycle.

MEA’s official merchandise line and a flagship collaboration between the Marketing and Communications and Finance Departments, where associates help develop and launch fresh, creative merchandise that allows MEAns to carry a piece of the organization into their everyday lives.
Fundraising Arm
Dependent on Project Timelines
FIN supports fundraising initiatives through ideation, feasibility and financial consultations, proposal approval, supplier and fundraiser resources, and guidance during execution to help projects conduct financially sustainable fundraisers.
