Formation Identity

TD forms its members to become attuned, decisive, and compassionate leaders who facilitate learning and actively shape the conditions where the people they work with and for can thrive. Serving as a central piece in MEA internal systems, HR:TD associates learn how to lead with both structure and empathy in mastering people and project management.

Who we are

Department Description

The Training and Development Department champions member formation and project management by providing valuable learning opportunities that best-fit MEAns' needs. HR:TD offers departmental initiatives, learning modules for MEA projects, to support learning opportunities of other offices and improve internal systems across MEA. The department also handles the integration of Systems Thinking (ST), and a growth mindset across everything in MEA.

MEAsterclass

Year-long (Majority Second Sem)

MEAsterclass is a workshop series exploring various college opportunities and department skills to equip MEAns with essential knowledge to grow within and beyond MEA. Thus, MEAsterclass creates a collaborative space for learning and reflection.

TDBits

Year-long

TDBits is TD’s communication arm featuring short-form videos to foster accessible learning. These videos highlight the behind-the-scenes of each project, detailing key tasks, and the overall journey of MEAns as part of core and their own committees.

Project Modules

Year-long (Majority First Sem)

TD associates are equipped with extensive knowledge on MEA’s systems and projects to craft ST-based Heads Training Sessions and CS-ST Modules that develop committee-specific skills, supporting the growth of core heads and core members.
