YDC walks alongside students, creating spaces for them to lead, connect, and flourish within and beyond ME.
Who we are
Department Description
The Year Development Council (YDC) is MEA’s student-centered office, supporting holistic development of batches through information dissemination, academic support, social initiatives, and career growth opportunities. YDCs are the ambassadors of MEA, further assisting in administrative procedures such as enlistment and study abroad programs. The office handles MEA’s Academic Learning Arm (ALAM), and two projects: Student Training, Enhancement, and Peer Support (STEPS), and Premier Management Engineering Orientation (PriME).
Batch Representation
Year-long
Composed of the batch representatives, the YDC office disseminates key MEA and program information, advocates for student needs, and collaborates with other departments in creating initiatives that foster holistic development across all year levels.
ALAM
Year-long
The Academic Learning Arm (ALAM) is MEA’s primary source of academic support, empowering ME students to thrive in the program’s rigor through supplementary mock tests, lesson sheets, and review sessions.
Administrative and University Support
Year-long
As the liaison between ME students, the ME Program Director, and University offices, the YDC office assists ME students with administrative procedures such as (but not limited to) enlistment and study abroad applications.
